How to Install QuickTime
5.0.1 and the QuickTime Plugin
| 1) | Go to the QuickTime website at http://www.quicktime.com |
| 2) | You will
see two series of buttons at the top of the site: Click "Download". A new
page will load and if you scroll down you will find a
form to complete before download can commence. |
| 3) | Fill in
name, email address, and other options:

| 4) | A setup
utility will now be downloaded (approximately 490K) and
this program will walk you through the actual
installation of QuickTime, selection of components, and
final configuration. Make sure to select the option to
add the QuickTime plugin to Internet Explore, Netscape
Navigator, or both. You will need to specify the location
of these programs on your hard disk. |
| 5) | Windows users should not need to restart their systems after installation of QuickTime is complete, however it is recommended. Web browsers however, following installation, must be closed and re-launched before the QuickTime plugin will be activated. If you are using a Macintosh, the setup utility should prompt you to restart your system to activate QuickTime. |
